This North Shore penthouse presented a common challenge: an inefficient layout that limited flow, light, and everyday functionality.
An oversized foyer, a windowless library, and a low dropped ceilings made the home feel disconnected.
Most disruptive was a centrally located U-shaped kitchen that divided the living and the dining areas, forcing circulation through the kitchen itself.
Our solution focused on what we do best - SPACE PLANNING.
The kitchen was relocated into a footprint of a former library, allowing the creation of a large open-concept Great Room designed for everyday living and entertaining. The space now accommodates a TV viewing area, a custom bar, and a generous seating - all without expanding the unit's footprint.
A former bonus area near the entry was transformed into a dedicated Dining Room, defined by a custom metal-and-glass partition that offers separation without sacrificing light.
The original living room, anchored by a bay window, became a refined home office with custom built-ins, dual workstations, and sliding glass panels for privacy.
The result is a thoughtfully restructured and stylish home that feels open, intentional, and tailored to how its owners live - proving that exceptional design doesn't require more space, only smarter planning.
